From Desk of the new President, AIDAEA (HQ) Kolkata

I take this opportunity to convey my good wishes to all the leaders and members of All India Defence Accounts Employees’ Association (HQ). I humbly pay my respect to all our previous leaders who devoted themselves for keeping upraise the auspicious flag of AIDAEA (HQ) Kolkata, an 89 year old organisation. I feel myself proud of being associated with the association for more than three decades which has a glorious past and always been part of the main stream movement of Central Govt. employees.
In DAD, I would like to remind my dear colleague and especially young stars that crucial days are coming in near future. Anti-staff policies of union government by job decentralization, outsourcing, automation etc. are the factors which are rapidly reducing the potentiality of staff and officers in Central Govt. Offices. Bulk recruitments have almost been stopped with an intention to reduce government expenditure as well as abolition of job in public sector. As a result bulk outstation transfers in various Departments are going on to dispense the existing staffs where offices are facing acute shortage of man power. On ensuing days we have to prove our efficiency at every moment for our existence. If clients are not satisfied with our services, we may be thrown out of our service. So, we have to be sincere about our own assignments for survival of the office as well as ourselves. Simultaneously we have to make ourselves be educated of our rights. Until you aware of your rights, you cannot find way out of your slave mentality. My little experience says that a large number of staff keeping themselves away from direct involvement of association to earn more or unnecessary confidence of high officials. Such act ultimately weaken the united power of employees and make passage of exploitations. Unfortunately they feel necessity of a strong association when they are in deep trouble and find no way to escape. In such situation should we expect any positive result from a forum which has been ignored year after year to weaken it? Without nurturing a tree can one expect delicious fruits? So, I hope your effective support to an effective organization will certainly provide you the effective result.
With regards
Sanjit Kumar Deb Roy,

President, AIDAEA (HQ) Kolkata
