Dear Members,

Consequent on reports received from various national medias regarding cabinet approval of DA merger, Hon'ble Secretary General of AIDAEA (HQ) Kolkata had telephonic contact with Confederation leaders in late evening and it is learnt that DOPT has already finalized 7 CPC ToR and submitted to Union Cabinet for approval, The matter has not been officially disclosed to the staff side. Cabinet will finalise the matter very soon. Details of Outcome will be conveyed promtly as and when available.

50% DA Merger, Retirement Age 62 and Interim Relief - Cabinet is likely to clear some of these Demands...

This week may bring cheer to central govt. employees and pensioners

Central Govt. employees and pensioners will find reasons to celebrate this week. The Union cabinet is likely to clear some long awaited demands for it's staff in the next meeting later this week. The Foreign Minster currently on foreign tour, likely to return India on 26th February and after which cabinet meeting is likely to take place.
According to information available with us, merger of 50% DA , an additional hike of 10% DA from 01.01.2014, granting of Interim Relief and enhancing retirement age to 62 years are under consideration of the Govt. and some of these are to be approved in the next cabinet meeting.
As the notification of loksabha poll may be issued in the first week of March, this would be the last cabinet meeting before the code of conduct comes into force.
So the central employees and pensioners may definitely hope for some bonanza to be announced this week.

Annual Membership option during April 2014

CGDA vide his Important circular no.AN/IV/17003/2014-15 dated 11.2.2014 asked all PCDAs/PCAs/CDAs/CFAs to ensure system of exercising membership options and recovery of Annual subscriptions. The entire process be scrupulously adhered to as per CCA(RSA) Rules 1993.

The Circular and Membership Option forms be sent to sub offices before 18.3.2014 positively and be acknowledged to HQr. office by 25.3.2014. The forms having registered serial numbers should be available to a nominated Officer during April 2014.

Blank option form may be issued to desirous individual only and in no case the option forms be handed over to Association representatives.

The numbered Option forms should only be used by the individual. The completed forms duly authenticated by authorised functionary of the recognised Association should be submitted to the nominated officer on or before 30.4.2014.

Any deviation from the above procedure may please be directly intimated to the undersigned to pursue the matter with the HQr. office.
